Alvar Alto: I Do Not Write I Build

Alvar Aalto was a Finnish architect known for his organic modernist style. He designed over 500 buildings as well as furniture. Aalto was influenced by nature and used organic materials and forms unlike the steel tubing popular at the time. His Viipuri stacking stools were made of just four wooden parts that could interlock and stack compactly, making them functional for spaces needing flexible seating and storage.
