RATIONALE:
• The Barangay Fire Brigade is an organized body of people trained and engaged to provide
special services for the community. Each member will undergo six (6) days of trainings to
acquire knowledge and skills that could be used in an emergency rescue operation. This
training is to help simple citizen to develop public accountability. It urges them to engage
themselves to a public service. it also aims to develops the unity of the community and the
Local government units and other government agencies in providing emergency services like
medical services, rescue and fire services and other emergencies.
• In addition, this training program is to educate and to change citizen’s perspective about the
service of the Bureau of Fire Protection for the community. We will enlighten them that the
BFP is not only for fire suppression but also for fire prevention, responding to natural
disasters, medical emergencies and other emergencies. Reaching out to the public and
educate them about the different types of natural calamities such as earthquake, typhoon, fire
etc. and how to save themselves during those unexpected circumstances is also one of our
advocacies. Lastly, we will inculcate in their mind what is the real meaning of the word
“SERVICE”.
OBJECTIVES:

• Develop the accountability of the community in all emergency


services
• Organize a fire brigade in all barangays of the municipality
• Teach and train them with ability and skills needed during any
rescue operation
• To equip brigade member with skills and ability
• To be able to response accurately and skillfully in any case of
emergencies
EXPECTED OUTPUTS

In six days of training, the Barangay fire brigade is


expected to apply what have they learned in this training
in a real life situation. Secondly the Brigade will be more
passionate in helping those people who in need of their
services. Lastly in the future the unity of the community
and the LGUs will be more established in providing
proper services most especially during calamities.
