Final Countdown X Defense

The document presents a study on the use of malunggay (Moringa oleifera) leaves extract as an anti-bacterial soap. The researchers created a soap using malunggay leaves extract, glycerin, olive oil, and coconut oil. They tested the soap on participants and found it to be an effective antibacterial that also moisturizes and cleanses the skin. The researchers recommend further studies to test other properties and compare the malunggay soap to commercial soaps.

Malunggay (Moringa oleifera) leaves extract as an
anti-bacterial soap

The researchers came u with the title “Malunggay (Morina

oleifera) leaves as an anti-bacterial soap” because of the
reasons that they consider such as the commonness of this
tree, the convenience of each participant, and the many
properties of this particular tree.

Malunggay soap is also a common product but the reason

why the researchers chooses to conduct this study, is to
support the other research that includes malunggay leaves.
Abstract

Moringa, (Moringa oleifera), also called horseradish tree or

drumstick tree, small deciduous tree (family Moringaceae)
native to tropical Asia but also naturalized in Africa and
tropical America. Flowers, pods, leaves, and even twigs are
cooked and eaten. The leaves, which can also be eaten raw
when young, are especially nutritious and are high in iron,
potassium, and vitamin C.

This study was constructed to test the feasibility of moringa

leaves as an innovative possible anti-bacterial body soap. The
researchers will conduct this study to inform others the
advantages or benefits of the herbal plant, moringa as an
alternative innovative anti bacterial soap.
Statement of the Problem

1. What are the constituents present?

2. Is it safe to people especially for children and senior

citizens?

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the

product might cause to our skin?
Methodology

Research Design

The researchers used an experimental study. It is employed to

test the efficacy of a preventive or therapeutic measure. It can
provide the strongest evidence about the existence of a cause-
effect relationship. It is the most appropriate and the easiest
design to determine the effectiveness of the product or the
project. This chapter presents the materials that used in
conducting the study, the methods and preparation of
research used in conducting the experiment, the respondents
and the data gathering procedure to be used for analysis and
interpretation.
Methodology

Materials :

Malunggay leaves extract/juice

Glycerin
Olive Oil
Coconut Oil
Water
Methodology

Procedure:
1. Juice, grind, or blend the moringa leaves.
2. Get a wider bowl for mixing the ingredients needed.
3. Mix the moringa leaves extract to all the oils that is
needed with the right amount.
4. Mix everything gently by using a spatula or stick that
can mix the solution until it gets to the right consistency.
5. Put it in the molder or any container that is somewhat
similar to a molder of a soap.
6. Let it dry/harden until it is ready to use.
Methodology

Application:

1. Wet your body or in the part where you want to use

it.

2. Apply the soap and wait for a few minute before

washing the area.

3. Wash the area gently and properly.

Summary

The main findings of this study is to provide evidence of the

efficacy of malunggay leaves in reducing bacteria on our
body and to know if the Moringa oleifera is a good
component as an anti-bacterial soap and to know what
actions can be proposed in  order to improve.

This study shows that we can use a malunggay soap to clean

the bacterias we have in our hand or in our body. In this
pandemic money is so important because many people lost
their jobs. This will help to reduce their expenses especially
on soap which still needs to protect against the disease.
Conclusion

After the researchers tested it and the respondents, it

is determined that the malunggay soap is not only an
excellent anti-bacterial but can also be an excellent
moisturizer, cleanser and anti-aging soap.
Recommendation

The researchers would like to recommend further

studies on the other aspects of the malunggay soap be
done. Furthermore, the researchers suggest to use
other components to compare it to such as commercial
soaps and to use it with higher amount.
