Project Managment: X-Ray Machine

This document outlines a project to develop and manufacture X-ray machines in Pakistan. It includes an analysis of the market opportunity given the lack of local production and high import costs. The project plan involves developing specifications, designing the machine, sourcing parts, testing a pilot production, and transitioning to mass production over 40 months. Cost estimates are provided for normal and crash scenarios. The document also includes a work breakdown structure and Gantt chart to manage the project schedule and dependencies between tasks.

Introduction
Market analysis

• X-Ray machines are in great demand in Pakistan.

• There is no industry that builds X-Ray machines in this country. Almost all the medical equipment, especially
machines and devices are imported from other countries.
• The cost of X-Ray machines increases to almost double its price after including custom taxes and other approval
procedures.
• If the components of X-Ray machines are imported then assembled in Pakistan, the cost can reduce up to 25%.
• (NOC) for import of X-Ray machines is required in Pakistan.
