1. The study aimed to determine the essential oil yield from Lakatan banana peel using microwave-assisted hydrodistillation with and without ultrasound pre-treatment. 2. Ultrasound pre-treatment at 40 kHz for 90 minutes and microwave-assisted hydrodistillation at 660W yielded the highest essential oil percentage. 3. Microwave-assisted hydrodistillation with ultrasound pre-treatment produced a significantly higher essential oil yield than hydrodistillation alone.
