MINDFULNESS ACTIVITY
MINDFULNESS WITH REFLECTION
1. Has someone ever asked you a question that you really didn't want to answer? How did you respond? - Whenever someone asks me a question that I don’t like, I immediately tell them that I don’t like it so that the topic won’t last longer. 2. Have you ever gotten (or given) a "compliment that really wasn't a compliment? How did you feel afterwards? - I think I have given someone a compliment but it actually wasn’t, I didn’t feel good after because I know I was lying. 3. Did you ever do something to be helpful that turned out badly? What happened? What do you wish had happened? - I remember in a Girl Scout Jamboree, I tried to catch a falling cup of boiling water. I thought I had fast reflexes and thought I could catch it without spilling it but I was wrong. My hand was burning hot afterwards. I wish I didn’t try to catch it and let it fall on the ground. MINDFULNESS WITH REFLECTION 4. Have you ever caught someone cheating (either on a test or on a boyfriend/girlfriend)? Did you say anything? Why or why not? - I once caught from boyfriend cheating on me. Of course I confronted him because it hurt me a lot, I didn’t think I deserve all that pain. 5. Have you ever gotten in trouble because someone caught you cheating (or thought you were cheating)? What happened? What do you wish had happened? - When I was in grade 6, I was called by my teacher after an exam because the test paper that I received have erasures of the right answers that I didn’t report while taking the exam. It was because I didn’t think the answers were right, and didn’t base my answers on the erasures. My friends saw it and reported me. That was the first time I got on trouble. I learned a lot from it. 6. In what other situations have you seen someone T.H.I.N.K. (or not) before speaking? What happened? - My parents tend to speak to us without thinking if it would hurt us or not. I know they’re our parents but they should atleast limit their hurtful words,
