Provenness criteria for critical equipment(s) and bought out items

4.1 The Bidder / his sub-vendor(s) is required to meet the provenness criteria and / or qualification
requirement for critical equipment, auxiliaries, systems and bought out items as per criteria stipulated
below:

previously manufactured / got manufactured the respective equipment(s) of the type and minimum
equipment rating as stipulated below such that the respective equipment(s) are in successful operation
in at least one (1) plant for a period not less than one (1) year as on the date of techno-commercial bid
opening.

1. TO BE PROPOSED BY CONTRACTOR STATING REQUIRED APPLICATION BY THE
CONTRACTOR
2. THE VENDOR DETAILS TO BE SUBMITTED AS PER NTPC FORMAT
3. VENDOR DETAIL COVERS MAINLY EXPEREINCE REFERNCES, APPROVALS BY
OTHER AGENCIES, ORGANISATION STRENGTHS, QUALITY SYSTEMS, TESTING
AND MANUFACTURING FACILITIES

4. THE MOTOR NEEDS TO BE TYPE TESTED.


NTPC PROVENNESS CRITERIA
4.2 In case the Bidder or the proposed sub-vendor(s) is not manufacturer of proven X
equipment(s) as per clause 4.1 above but is a regular manufacturer for such
equipment(s) for units of at least 200 MW rating, the Bidder or the proposed sub
vendor(s) can manufacture such equipment(s) for 660 MW
4.3 A JV Company / Subsidiary Company formed for manufacturing and supply of X
equipment(s) listed at 4.1 above in India, by one of the Promoters of the Indian JV/
Subsidiary Company formed for manufacturing of steam turbine generator sets, can also
manufacture such equipments for 660 MW supercritical units provided one of its
promoters meets the requirements of clause 4.1 above.
4.4 Before taking up the manufacturing of such equipment(s) as per clause 4.2 and 4.3 X
above, the Bidder / his sub vendor(s) must create (or should have created)manufacturing
and testing facilities at his works as per collaborator / licenser’s design, manufacturing
and quality control system for such equipments. Further, the collaborator / licenser shall
provide
4.5 Bidder shall offer and supply only the type of the above equipment(s) for which he X
himself or the manufacturer / collaborator(s) / licenser(s) proposed by the Bidder for the
above equipment(s) is qualified.
4.6 The Employer reserves the right to fully satisfy himself regarding capability and capacity X
of Bidder / his sub-vendor(s) and the proposed arrangement and may prescribe
additional requirement before allowing manufacture of the equipment listed above for this
contract.
