The Characteristics of
Authentic CG Leader
 God calls and provides leadership gifts needed for
someone to lead. However, there are certain things
that need to be cultivated by the person called to
lead for him to be more fit to his calling. Thus, any
leader who desires to excel in cg should give
attention to areas of development to make his or her
successful.
But first remember what
God can do to a leader…
God can use people with or without the
natural ability and proper background

 "Brothers, think of what you were when you

were called. Not many of you were wise by
human standards; not many were influential;
not many were of noble birth. But God chose
the foolish things of the world to shame the
wise; God chose the weak things of the world
to shame the strong." (1 Cor. 1:26-27)
   God prepares those He calls.
 God uses life experiences to mold and shape
leaders. God uses life experiences to develop
perspectives and passions essential to the
capacity of leadership to which He calls.
 Jesus prepared the disciples for 3 years before
they were able to go out on their own; they
had to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon
them in power.
   God prepares those He calls.

 Joseph was sold into slavery and falsely imprisoned

during which time he gained favor and rose to a
position of prominence.
 Moses grew up in Pharaoh's household and then spent
40 years as a fugitive before he was ready to lead the
people out of Egypt.
 Joshua served as Moses' servant to prepare him to take
Moses' place.
GOD EQUIPS THOSE HE CALLS.
