Shopee uses demographic and geographic segmentation to target customers. It started as a small business in Singapore but expanded to many Southeast Asian countries and a few South American countries by offering a variety of services. Shopee segments customers by recommendations based on purchase history and items added to carts. To improve, Shopee should provide better customer service for complaints and explain voucher usage more clearly. The system also needs upgrades to strengthen communication and relationships with customers.

billionaire businessman, and the founder of Garena and
Shopee.

Chris Feng is the founder of Shopee Pte Ltd. It is a


multinational technology business based in Singapore that
specializes in e-commerce.

Shopee first opened its doors in Queenstown, Singapore


on the 5th of February 2015. Since then, the company has
expanded its business across the Southeast Asia and few
city’s in America:

demographic, and geographic segmentation.

The e-commerce platforms such as shopee segments


the costumers by the use of psychographic and behavioral
segmentation, by recommending products that are related
to the products that the costumer had purchased in the
past and products they put in their virtual cart using the
same platform or the same app.

To become better, we must reconsider providing newly-


improved customer service to our clients when it comes to
there complaints. Because most of them claimed that
they’re not being recognized.

Second, are the vouchers they offer. There should be a


specific explanation as how they can use. Finally, the
system has to change or upgrade in order to strengthen it’s
communication and relationships to their customers.
