The purpose of this document is to guide instructors of UX402 classes through

the system setup. This is an addition to the instructor handbook, not a replacement.

We will try to update this document as often as possible and necessary.

The source is located at the KT&E Instructor Information Jam page.

Prepare Front-End-Settings on ADM-WTS

To prepare settings on the ADM-WTS, the instructor and the students may execute a VBS script.
1. Log on to the ADM-WTS as train-##
2. Make sure that SAP GUI for Windows and SAP Business Client are not running
3. Choose Windows
4. Choose Initialize Environment >> Initialize ADM-WTS

This script will create a user-specific N:/SAP folder.

You may rerun this script at any time, overwriting the user-specific N:/SAP folder.

Typically, the Initialize ADM-WTS will auto-detect the WTS environment.

Only on case the auto-detection fails, do the following:

4. Choose the Arrow down to access all Windows apps
5. Start the Windows app
Initialize Course >> Initialize UT 4.1

Logon to system SMA, client 100, user systemsetup, password iseasy and
launch Execute Training System Setup (transaction ZSYSTEMSETUP).

Fill in the details of your class and choose Execute (or press F8).
Currently, in case of multiple clones, you have to do this per clone.
The Current Target System Status
indicates which target systems are
- avail(able) = up and running
- req(uired) according to the sample file.

In a clone based on the sample file

TA-UT41S-UT41-FROZEN

the systems FSD, S4D, SMA

should be up and running (green).

In the log view (transaction ZSYSTEMSETUP_LOGS),

press Refresh and verify that the course setup eCATT finished successfully.

Course Setup: Main steps

The main steps of the UX402_04course setup are

 Set passwords of operating system users <sid>adm (to “your” OS password).
 Note: There is no need to access the operating system level in this course.
 Creation of AS ABAP users TRAIN-## (with “your” SAP initial password) in client 100 of systems FSD and S4D.
 Creation of one workbench and customizing request for all TRAIN-## users in systems FSD and S4D.
 Import of ABAP-transports for OData-service on the S4x-systems
 Registration of OData-services in the FSx-system

 to start the course setup 15 minutes

After UX402/04 setup is finished some additional steps are necessary.

 Create packages on FSD and S4D
 Initialize the SAP Web IDE personal edition
 Configure the SAP Cloud Connector

 Login to the FSD-system using user Train-00

 Start transaction bc_tools_user
 Press Maintain users

Start Orion Server for SAP Web IDE Personal Edition

For the exercises using SAP Web IDE, the trainer has to start the Orion server in his WTS session:
1. Start N:\SAP\Prepare SAP Web IDE Personal Edition.bat.
2. Press any key to run the script.

Important: To make sure that the SAP Web IDE works stable please stop and restart the SAP
Web IDE on each day before the course starts.
The script extracts the SAP Web IDE to the folder N:\
SAP_Web_IDE_PE and starts the Orion server.

Keep the window on the right open as long as you

need the SAP Web IDE.

If you close the window, you can start the Orion server
by calling N:\SAP_Web_IDE_PE\eclipse\orion.exe or
using the Google Chrome favorite.

You may re-run this script at any time, overwriting the

above folder. This also includes all user workspaces
in N:\SAP_Web_IDE_PE\eclipse\serverworkspace.

To make it easier to start and stop the SAP Web IDE we provide a batch
file.
Please copy the file start.bat and paste it to n:\SAP

To start and Stop the SAP Web IDE.

 Close the DOS-box of the orione.exe
 Start the SAP Web IDE again using the start.bat file

Hints for working with the SAP Web IDE personal edition

 Please stop the SAP Web IDE personal edition at the end of each training day
 Start the SAP Web IDE personal edition before each training using the batch file

 Sign up in the SAP Web IDE

• To start the SAP Web IDE personal edition open Google Chrome and choose from the favourites SAP WEB
IDE Personal Edition
• And sign in. There are no predefined users.
This means all of your participants have to sign up before starting with the first exercise

Step 1: Logon

Login to the SAP Cloud Connector

with the following credentials:
User Name: Administrator
Password: manage

Leave installation type to the

preselected Master installation

Step 4: Create a Cloud To On-Premise configuration

 To access the FSD-system from the SAP Cloud Platform you have to create a Cloud To On-
Premise configuration in the SAP Cloud Connector and also define a destination inside the SAP
Cloud Cockpit. Please do these configuration steps during the lessons in the demos. Please follow
the follow steps from EX01
