Clark Ken C. Reducto
Cotton fabric
• is a type of natural cloth created out of the cotton plant fibres. Coming in a wide
range of weaves, it is the most versatile and popular fabric in the world. It is so
widespread that many people tend to perceive cotton as the fabric that has been
around us for many centuries.
chiffon fabrics
is a term that is used to refer to a wide variety of different types of fabrics that all
share similar qualities. This type of fabric is sheer , which means that it is light and
semi-transparent with a simple weave.
linen fabric
is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. Linen is very strong, absorbent, and dries
faster than cotton. Because of these properties, linen is comfortable to wear in hot weather
and is valued for use in garments. Linen textiles can be made from flax plant fiber, yarn, as
well as woven and knitted.
Crepe fabric
is a silk, wool, or synthetic fabric that has a distinctive wrinkled and bumpy
appearance. Crepe comes from the French word, which means small, thin
pancake. It is usually a lightweight to medium-weight fabric, but ultimately, crepe
can be any weight.Aug 12, 2021
Denim fabric
is a sturdy cotton twill fabric woven with an indigo, gray, or mottled white yarn.
Denim is perhaps one of the most well-known and commonly worn fabrics there is,
from the classic blue jeans to jackets, dresses, overalls, and more.
Rayon fabric
is a semi-synthetic fiber, made from natural sources of
regenerated cellulose, such as wood and related agricultural
products. It has the same molecular structure as cellulose.
Polyester fabric
is a category of polymers that contain the ester functional group in every
repeat unit of their main chain. As a specific material, it most commonly
refers to a type called polyethylene terephthalate.
Velvet fabric
in textiles, fabric having a short, dense pile, used in clothing and upholstery. The
term derives from the Middle French velu, “shaggy.” Velvet is made in the pile
weave, of silk, cotton, or synthetic fibres, and is characterized by a soft, downy
surface formed by clipped yarns.
