This study examined the benefits and welfare measures provided to workers at Nova Carbons India Private Limited under the Factories Act of 1948. The objectives were to study current welfare measures, identify areas for improvement, and assess employee awareness and satisfaction. A survey was conducted of 171 employees using stratified random sampling. The findings showed that most employees were aware of welfare measures and satisfied with them, though some recommended improvements like increased safety provisions, transportation, and amenities. The study concluded the company complies with the Factories Act but could further enhance worker welfare.

Conceptual explanation of title
 Labour welfare is a comprehensive term including various services,
benefits and facilities offered to employees by the employer.
 Labour welfare activities benefit not only the workers but also the
management in term of greater industrial efficiency. Management seeks
co-operation between the labour forces by providing facilities.
 This study was conducted to study the benefits and welfare measures to
workmen under factories act, 1948 at Nova Carbons India Private Ltd.
Also this study suggests suitable recommendations to improve
Labour Welfare Measures in Nova Carbons India Private Limited.
 Ensuring that the basic minimum requirements for health, safety, welfare
of the factory workers are provided.
Objectives of the study
 To study about the welfare measures which are carried out in NOVA
CARBONNS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED
 To know and suggest whether any improvement is needed in the present
welfare measures for the employees in the organization.
 To find the employees' awareness and the satisfaction about the welfare
measures provided by NOVA CARBONS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.
 To ensure effective utilization and maximum development of human
resources.
Variables
 In this research the labour welfare measures and various provisions
which are provided by the employer under Factories act, 1948 known as
the independent variable according to the impact of it on the working
environment of the workmen.
 The working environment of the workmen known as the dependent
variable.
 We're trying to measure the change in labour-management relations,
quality of work-life, employee motivation and labour employment circle
which are influenced by various provisions.
Research methodology
 The present study adopted is the Descriptive research method of
research.
 Primary Data - Structured Questionnaire
 Secondary Data - Books and company files and website
 The sampling was done through Stratified Random sampling method.

Recommendations
Adequate number of First Aid appliances has to be provided. Restroom facility has to be
sufficiently provided. The company shall provide necessary lunch room and rest room
facilities to all the employees.
The Management shall arrange more programs to improve the employee’s awareness
about the welfare measures working conditions and social   security schemes.
The Management can take necessary steps to provide job security to trainees. Also the
Management shall consider providing welfare measures to the trainees.
The company may arrange more transport facilities to the employees, particularly to
those are coming for night shifts.
The Management can provide better quality and variety of food in the canteen. Also, they
shall arrange filtered and chilled water.
Relationship with the subordinates, colleagues and superiors should be regulated in a
positive way in order to bring inter personal relations.
Conclusions
 Our research study concludes that the employees at the Nova carbons
India Private Limited are very much aware about the various provisions
stated in the Factories act pertaining to the Labour viz. Health, Safety
and Welfare.
 Regarding the employees satisfaction levels, the score is very positive in
comparison to the Awareness levels.
 It is concluded that this project will be very much helpful to the
management to impart better welfare measures, working condition and
social security schemes to the employees.
