FOR Planning the Troop Program on an annual,

let us not forget the parents of the boys.
BASIC Parts of the Annual Troop Program Plan
TRAINING The Annual Troop Program Plan must include the
COURSE direction to be taken by the Troop and all the
FOR necessary activities and projects that should be
TROOP undertaken in order to reach the destination. To
LEADERS make sure that nothing important is left out, the

BASIC Steps in Planning the Troop Program
TRAINING There are only three very simple steps in

FOR steps are as follows:
TROOP FIRST- Gather the resources available to you to
LEADERS set the goals of your Troop.
SECOND-Train you Boy Leaders in the planning
process. How to determine the advancement
needs of the Troop and how to gather program
ideas that will be exciting to the members of the
Troop. How to determine the finances needed.
JORGE J. GALANG, LT
This can be done during a Troop Leaders Council
meeting which is called for the purpose.
Third-Give them the responsibility to plan and
BASIC implement the Troop Program. This is done during
TRAINING a troop Program Planning Conference which will ba
COURSE called and presided upon by the Senior Patrol
FOR Leader. This is conducted in the form of an
TROOP expanded Troop Meeting thus:
LEADERS Business Period- The SPL will inform the Troop of
the need for an Annual Plan and how they are going
to proceed doing it. He will request the Troop
Leader to elaborate on the need of the Troop
Program and the process how to do it.
Patrol Corners- The Troop breaks by Patrol so as to

advancement requirements that interest and is
needed by the Patrol members.
Troop Leaders Council Meeting – The Troop Leaders
BASIC gather and collates the information generated and
TRAINING prepares the final draft of the plan.
COURSE
FOR Lastly- Request for a meeting with the IR, ISC and
the parents of the Scouts. Present to them the “Boy
TROOP
planned program” and request them to support the
LEADERS
plan. Following the presentation they may want to
discuss it and approved immediately or they may
opted to discuss the plan further and make some
suggestions for change. Should there be
suggestions for change the plan goes back to boys
to the discuss the changes and may be affected. If
