DBS IDEAL- Case Study Competition

Screening
Problem Statement (Screening criteria)
In the age of large-scale tech disruption in the Financial Services sector we have witnessed the advent of many Fintech platforms providing
services to corporate clients in new and innovative ways whilst the banking sector has remained largely focused on pushing products via legacy
platforms and any game changing innovations have not been seen in the space.

Keeping the above in mind, deep dive into the space and the IDEAL platform and propose how the same can move beyond its current scope as a
transactional platform to being a one stop shop for all client needs.

Keep the below guiding principles in mind while approaching the above problem statement:-
1. Curated:- Many platforms/applications across sectors incorporate consumer behavior to ensure a more curated experience for the user,
these applications also push products/services basis past activity and other intelligence/data gathered from multiple sources.
2. Bank Agnostic:- Explore how the IDEAL platform can move beyond its current scope and offer products/services which are bank agnostic.
Turning it into a platform that clients can use for B2B interactions/transactions etc.
3. Consumer Analytics:- Explore how IDEAL can use its client data or data from third-party providers to provide rich analytics to its users in a
consumable format.
4. Information Rich:- Should IDEAL integrate with information providers like Bloomberg/WSJ etc. to provide real time news and market data ?
And if so how and where does one consume this ?
5. Delivery/UI:- Go through the IDEAL User Interface and processes/functionality defined in slide one and see how this can be changed for a
better User Experience. Can onboarding be easier, can we use the log in page for showing more info ?

The above points are for guidance purpose, please don’t restrict your proposals to the same. Also be cognizant of RBI regulations on the banking
space while drafting your proposals, without being completely restricted by them.
