How to Open a Microsoft Teams Account


STEP 1:
Go to
https://teams.microsoft.com/
and select
Sign in.
STEP 2:
Type in your
Microsoft account email and select Next.
STEP 3:
Enter your password and
select Sign in.
NOTE:
You might be asked for
additional verification, such
as a code from a mobile
device, when you sign in.
You can download the Microsoft Authenticator
App for verifying your account. To learn more on

How to Find and Join a Team in MS Teams

STEP 1:
Log into
1)https://teams.microsoft.com/
or 2
2)Microsoft Teams App using your Laguna College
credentials.

To join a specific team, select
1)Teams then 2) Join or create a
team at the bottom of the teams list.

STEP 3:
Type the name of the team in the search
box and press 1) enter. Find the team
you’re looking for and 2) Join.
Example:

If you will use a code, go to Join a
team with a code.
Type the code in the
enter code box then
click Join.
After joining a team, you
can now access and explore
the team and its channels.

How to Attend Classes in MS Teams

STEP 1:
Log into
1)https://teams.microsoft.com/
or 2
2)Microsoft Teams App using your Laguna College
credentials.
STEP 2:
Go to Teams section then
select the name of the team.
STEP 3:
Click Join to attend the online class.
If the class has not yet started, select the class invite (as
shown below) and click Join.
STEP 4:
Select Join now.
STEP 5:
When the class is
over, select the red
icon to leave the
class.

How to Use Class Notebook in MS Teams

STEP 1:
Log into

2)Microsoft Teams App using your Laguna College

STEP 2:
Go to Teams section then
select the name of the team.
STEP 3:
Navigate to the General channel and choose the Class Notebook tab.
STEP 4:
Select to expand the notebook and see all your sections.
