Ports are connectors on a motherboard or separate adapter that allow devices to connect to a computer using sockets or plugs. Common ports include PS/2 ports for connecting keyboards and mice using mini-DIN plugs, and DVI ports for transmitting digital video content to displays at high resolutions up to 2560 x 1600. A connector is the end of a cable that inserts into a computer port to connect devices like keyboards, mice, displays and more.

It is used to connect a computer mouse or keyboard to an IBM compatible computer. The PS/2 port is a mini DIN plug containing six pins and is still sometimes found on all IBM compatible computers. 3 DVI (Digital Visual Interface) Short for Digital Visual Interface, DVI is a video display interface.
