• Differentiate between /b/ and /p/ in words
SOUND PAIRS

/b/ (voiced)
Mouth Position:
- Put your lips together.

Voicing:
- Engage your vocal cords to create a
vibrating sound.

Release:
- Release the airflow by quickly opening
your lips.
/p/ (voiceless)
Mouth Position:
- Start with your lips lightly pressed together.

Stops:
-Build up air pressure behind the closed lips by
briefly stopping the airflow.

Release:
- Release the air by opening your lips quickly.
