What is a rest?
• A rest is for the silence
in music.
• Rest has also a beat.

What is a rhythm?
• Rhythm refers to the flow,
breathing pattern or simply
the pulse in music.
• Rhythm makes you tap
your feet, clap your hands,
nod your head, and swing

What is a meter?

• Meter comes from the Greek word


“metron” which means “to measure”.
• It can be a simple meter or a compound
meter.
