Introduction
• Data means fact or information collected in the process of
research work concerning to the research problem or enquiry.
• According to Black’s Law Dictionary :data means organized
information generally used as the basis for an adjudication or
decision. Commonly organized information , collected for
specific purpose.
• According to Oxford Advance Learner’s Dictionary : data
means information or facts. Information means facts or details
that tell you something about a situation , person, events etc.
Fact means a piece of information that is known to be true , the
basis details, number , etc.concerning a particular situation or
subject.
Importance of Data
• Data for research is collected as an information observed, generated or created to
validate original research findings.
• Data for research is collected, observed, or created, for purpose of analysis to
produce original research results.
