If the status is not changed even after value date, System passes
accounting entries by debiting and crediting Customer account with the
Cheque amount every day to effect change in value date
When cheques are cleared, no further accounting entries are raised but
cheque amount is included under cleared balance. If the dates are changed
while changing the status to ‘CLEARED’, then change of dates will not be
effected as fresh accounting entries are not passed at this status change

Cheque collection features – CHEQUE.COLLECTION
When cheques are cleared internal account for cheque sent on clearing
debited and customer account is credited
If Value / Exposure dates are changed, the new dates will be incorporated
in accounting entries. As Customer account has not been created earlier,
there is no issue of reversal of old entries in this case
When cheques are returned, internal account for cheque return is instead
credited
