Quality control ensures that products meet defined quality standards by testing finished products. It focuses on detecting defects. Quality assurance prevents defects by developing planning processes and defining quality standards that are intended to be followed throughout manufacturing. It is a proactive, process-oriented approach while quality control is a reactive, product-oriented approach. Both work together, with quality control providing feedback to quality assurance if defects are detected so that the root cause can be determined and processes improved.

The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model is widely used to implement Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA) in an organization. QUALITY ASSURANCE VS. QUALITY CONTROL Quality Assurance: It is a failure prevention system that predicts almost everything about product safety, quality standards and legality that could possibly go wrong and then takes steps to control it. Quality Control: Based on them, Quality Control prepares regular reports that act as the same and decides on the corrective and preventive actions. Conti… Quality Assurance: In general, the QA activities are done before the product is manufactured or the service delivered. Quality Control: Its activities are done during the manufacturing process and once the product is manufactured. Quality Assurance: It is proactive approach. Quality Control: It is reactive approach.
