CONTENTS
1. Introduction.

2. Solar Energy.

3. Wind Energy.

4. Hydroelectric energy.

5. Geothermal Energy.

6. Biomass & Biomass.

7. Advantages & Disadvantages of renewable energy.

8. Conclusion.
WHAT IS RENEWABLE ENERGY?
The energy resources which can be used to produce again
and again are known as renewable energy resources.
TYPES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY
1. Solar energy 3. Hydroelectric energy 5. Biomass or biogas energy

2. Wind energy 4. Geothermal energy

SOLAR ENERGY
o Solar energy is the energy, the earth receives from the sun,
primarily as visible light and other forms of
electromagnetic radiation.

o Solar energy can be converted into electrical energy by

using solar plates.

o Examples:
• solar cooker
• Solar heater
• Solar call
WIND ENERGY
Wind power is good renewable, clean and free source of energy for
power production.

o Reduce dependence on fossil fuels including imported oils.

o Reduce emission of greenhouse gas and other pollutant.

o One major concern is the noise - be improved

HYDROELECTRIC ENERGY
o The water covers 75% of the world surface.

o It is the largest renewable energy source available to contribute to the security of

energy supply reduce greenhouse gases emission.

THE WATER CONTAIN TWO TYPE OF ENERGY

o Hydroelectric energy from dams and rivers.

o Mechanical energy from tides and waves.

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
o Geothermal energy is the heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable.

o Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to hot water and hot rock.

o It found a few miles beneath the Earth's surface, and down even deeper to the extremely
high temperatures of molten rock called magma.

o Geothermal heat pumps can tap into this resource to heat and cool buildings .
BIOMASS OR BIOGAS ENERGY
o Biomass is a renewable source of fuel to produce energy.

o because: waste residues will always exist - in terms of scrap wood, mill residuals
and forest resources; and.

o properly managed forests will always have more trees, and we will always have
crops and the residual biological matter from those crops.
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES
ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES

1. Clean, Safe and Efficient. 1. High capital costs.

2. Stable costs. 2. Energy storage is a challenge.

3. Save & make money. 3. Requires more space

4. Clean Air & water. 4. Maintenance cost is high

5. A cheaper form of electricity. 5. Dependence on Weather Conditions

6.Creates new jobs. 6. Initial cost is high.

CONCLUSION
Renewable energy's reliance on weather conditions, such as sunlight,
wind, and water availability, poses challenges due to their intermittent
nature. This dependence can lead to fluctuations in energy production,
requiring efficient storage solutions and backup systems to ensure
reliability. Despite these challenges, advancements in technology and grid
integration are steadily improving the reliability and resilience of
renewable energy sources, making them increasingly viable alternatives to
traditional fossil fuels.
