How to make a Link into a QR Code

Pre-requisites
Make sure that before you start you have the link
that you want to make into a QR code as well as a
functioning Google account.

Step 1: Go to Google.com

Step 2: In the search bar, type “qr.io”

Step 3: Click the “Enter” button on your
keyboard

Step 4: Click on “QR.io” Website

Step 5: Locate the “Sign Up” button

Step 6: Select “Sign Up with Google”

Step 7: Select your Google Account to use

When creating an account, a free-trial


will start for 7-days where you can
create any kind of QR code you wish. If
you do not wish to create an account, an
alternate method is available, starting at
Step 5A.

Step 8: Once Logged in, select “Link”

Step 10: Click on “Download PNG”

Alternate Method, No Account Creation

This is another method of saving the QR Codes where you do not


need an account ton QR.io and instead just screenshot them once
created.

Picking up after Step 4, Step 5A:
Paste your Link into the field

Step 6A: Click off of the text field to Generate the Code

Step 7A: Find and Select the Snipping Tool
• For Windows, locate the search bar in the bottom left of the screen and
type in “Snipping Tool,” and select the first result.
• For Mac, use the keys SHIFT + COMMAND + 4 to be able to access
the snipping tool.

Step 8A: Select “New” on the Snipping Tool

Step 9A: Snip out the area with the QR
Code

Step 10A: Copy or Save the Image

Congratulations, you now have a QR Code
