JUNGIAN SYSTEM
• 4 Functions
• Two Processing Variants per Function
• Functions
• Sensorics
• Intuition
• Ethics
• Logic
• Introverted vs Extroverted
• Irrational vs Rational
• Abstract vs Involved
THE TYPES
• As elegantly demonstrated by this diagram:
• Look to Function first
• Then the Logical v Ethical Dichotomy
• Then the Introversion vs Extroversion
• The choices made will directly result in the name of
the type
For example:
• Logical -> Sensoric -> Introvert
= Logical Sensoric Introvert ->
= LSI
INTERTYPE RELATIONS
• Inter-quadra Relations
• Superego relationships
• Supervisor relationships
• Benefit rings
• Extinguishment
• Conflicting Relationships
• Business Relationships

THE 16 TYPES
ALPHA QUADRA
ILE – DON QUIXOTE
1. Pie in the sky.
They are adept at finding new prospects and opportunities. What’s already
been accomplished always seems insignificant to them compared to the
novel prospects lying ahead, which they find as irresistible and never-
ending. If they are a scientist, they tend to delay publishing the results of
their research, believing that greater accomplishments are still ahead. The
ILE lives for the future; their lack of recognition in the present does not
bother them. They do what interests them, not what is profitable.
2. Recharge
They need a constant source of emotional uplifting & excitement, which
requires continuous sensory-ethical recharging. They cannot provide this
for themselves, which is why they greatly depend on the environment.
Without a dual to feed them with sensory impressions and positive
emotions, they lose their drive to work and fervor for life. Sometimes, in
the absence of a dual, they contact their friends, conduct social activities, or
even create clubs or scientific schools.
LII – MAXIMILIEN
ROBESPIERRE
1. I think, therefore I am.
A person with a developed logic and a strong capacity for analysis. They are able
to logically arrive at the essence of phenomena and uncover its inner structure. A
representative of this type, Carl Jung, developed the basis of the typology used
in Socionics. “Providence created me for quiet office work, giving it all the
delight of my soul,” said Thomas Jefferson, during whose presidency the size of
the United States almost doubled. They view all of life’s happenings from a
logical point of view.
2. “Justice is my calling.”
This is the type of a revolutionary or political conspirator. In conflict situations,
they organize committees to crush the opposition. The LII believes that
everything in the world must be logical and therefore just. They are capable of
neglecting their own safety and economic standing to defend the oppressed.
They also impose high demands on themselves. If nobody takes care of them,
they will simply work themselves to exhaustion. Giuseppe Garibaldi,
Maximilien Robespierre, Felix Dzerzhinsky, and Thomas Jefferson were
revolutionaries who devoted their lives to an idea.
SEI – ALEXANDRE DUMAS
1. Fiery.
Their emotions are strong, colorful, and often overbearing. They can catch fire with an
idea and chase it all their lives – Heinrich Schliemann, German archaeologist,
excavated the ancient Greek city of Troy as a child; but to achieve this dream he had to
get an education in spite of his poverty and get rich. The ESE admires art – for them, it
is a source of conscious joy. Their moods create themselves and the ESE knows how to
infect others with it. Their emotions are kind, nuanced, and compassionate.
2. Tireless.
They are constantly active. Always among people, and always on the run. It’s easy for
them to switch around from one thing to another, but they work very hard. They can
take any job and persist until the work is done. They don’t distinguish interesting and
uninteresting work; this is not a subject of reasoning and analysis, it is merely
something that must be done and that is the end of it. On the outside, they appear very
self-confident and self-sufficient, seeming to succeed in everything they undertake,
acting quickly and with good results. However, they themselves doubt their pragmatic
skills, so they appreciate when their work is praised.
BETA QUADRA
SLE - GEORGY ZHUKOV
1. Consistent Adherent.
They know how to sensibly and accurately choose the best available system
or dogma, and fight for its implementation with uncompromising
stubbornness. They categorically reject everything that cannot fit in it, and
bring the system to an ideal state. They are very reliable in the
implementation of their system, even if this system is temporary. Thus
Charles Talleyrand was able to occupy the position he wanted under the
Bourbons, the Convent, the Directory, Napoleon, and again under the
Bourbons, until he died in the wealth and luxury to which he aspired.
2. A Sober Realist.
The LSI never falls into despair and does not succumb to illusions, they are
always equally even-tempered, calm, and logical. They themselves are not
inclined to fantasy and do not like “Manilovism“* in others.
EIE - HAMLET
1. To be or not to be?
A serious person focused on global issues. They see the world
in dramatic, and even tragic colors. They expect all kinds of
troubles. Their leitmotif in life, like Beethoven’s four famous
notes, is fate. They tend to set and solve their personal
problems on a global scale. They often seek to benefit all of
humanity.
2. Romantic.
They are prone to constant doubts and hesitation. Sometimes
perceived by people around them as unbalanced and easily
excitable. For instance, the EIE is irritated by unnecessary
movements, as they see the world as too dynamic. They do not
like to show initiative. They place feelings above reason.
IEI – SERGEI YESENIN
1. A somewhat dreamy romantic, a person of reflection over action.
Individualist.
They care little about the present in general and are inspired by the
prospects of glowing cities, which will probably never be built. They are
quite emotional – they understand the feelings of the other well and do not
hide their own. But their emotionality is always a little incomplete, with
pronounced elements of observation, seeing if their effect is as they expect.
They don’t express emotions when the other’s emotional tank is
“overflown”, but rather when the IEI themselves considers it necessary.
Their approach to emotions is very creative: for example, they may
consider rage as ethical and restraint as unethical.
2. Falling in love.
Their “other” stands out for them among the colorless masses because of
their strength, determination, and intellect. And especially if this strength
lends itself to the IEI’s emotional expression. They are very tolerant of
people, understand them, and try to forgive their weaknesses.
