EPI: Expanded Program on Immunization

Vaccine: A vaccine is a suspension of weakened, killed, or


fragmented microorganisms or toxins or other biological
preparation, such as those consisting of
antibodies, lymphocytes, or mRNA, that is administered
primarily to prevent disease.

Immunization: Immunization is a way of preventing infectious


diseases. Vaccinations are offered to babies, children and
adults to protect against serious and preventable diseases.

Routine Immunization: It Should be the routine of Parents to


bring children at EPI Centers for Vaccination is called Routine
Immunization.
