Introduction of Tally

• TallyPrime is an integrated business management software


introduced by Tally Solutions in 2021.
• It primarily helps in maintaining books of
accounts, generating reports, managing
inventory, payroll, and taxation.
Starting Tally Prime
• Start TallyPrime using:
• 1. Start Menu > TallyPrime
• 2. TallyPrime icon on the Desktop.

• Choose your operational mode:


• - Activate New License
• - Educational Mode (for practice)
Create Company
• Steps to Create a New Company:
• 1. Start TallyPrime in Educational Mode.
• 2. Select 'Create Company' from the first
screen.
• 3. Fill in the required details: Company Name,
Address, Financial Year, etc.
Ledger Accounts
• Ledgers are used to record all financial transactions.

• Predefined Ledgers:
• 1. Cash Account
• 2. Profit & Loss Account

• Create New Ledgers based on your business


needs.
Voucher Types
• Vouchers are documents that record financial transactions.

• Major Vouchers:
• 1. Payment Voucher
• 2. Receipt Voucher
• 3. Contra Voucher
• 4. Purchase Voucher
• 5. Sales Voucher
GST – Goods and Service Tax
• GST is a tax on the supply of goods and services.

• Input Tax Credit: Set off GST paid on purchases


against GST collected on sales.

• View GST Reports in TallyPrime for easy


compliance.
