• Metal Matrix Composites (MMC) have garnered significant
attention due to their exceptional mechanical properties, making them ideal for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. This study examines the mechanical behavior of MMCs, focusing on the effects of reinforcement type, volume fraction, and processing methods on their tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness, ductility, and toughness. KEY POINTS • ➡️*Material Selections*: Choose matrix metal and reinforcement material. • ➡️*Design & Modeling*: Use CAD and FEA to simulate MMC behavior. • ➡️*Processing*: Produce MMCs through various methods. • ➡️*Mechanical Testing*: Evaluate tensile, compressive, hardness, impact, and other properties. • ➡️*Property Evaluation*: Analyze strength, stiffness, ductility, toughness, and other properties. • ➡️*Post-Processing Analysis*: Interpret data, perform statistical analysis. • ➡️*Application & Optimization*: Use results to improve MMC design SEQUENCE OF METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE (MMC) • Pre-Processing* • Processing • Mechanical Testing • Property Evaluation • Post-Processing Analysis* • Application and Optimization* Pre-Processing
