Concept of values

❖Values are the basic convictions that give us a sense of right and wrong, good

and bad.

❖Thus values form the basis of ethical behavior.


Ethics

❖Ethics is the way the values are acted out.

❖Ethics is a set of moral principles or values which is concerned with

righteousness or wrongness of human behavior and which guides your conduct in

relation to others.
Value system

❖A value system is a set of consistent ethic values and measures used for the

purpose of ethical or ideological integrity.

❖Value system comprises of all those beliefs and viewpoints that the parents pass

on their next generations, they further pass it on to and offspring and so, the

legacy goes on and on.


Indian value system

❖A common value system is one of the binding ingredients that give Indians a

common identity.

❖Laid high stress on values like peaceful coexistence, spirituality, deference to

elders, recourse to nature, seeking prosperity, strong family ties, joyousness and

hospitality.
Wisdom in Management
❖Wise leaders have certain leadership skills that transcend the everyday requirements of a job,
including their approach to decision-making.

❖Wise leaders do not make one-sided decisions; instead, they are affected by the varying perceptions
of their team as well as those outside the company.

❖Their decisions are informed by their personal experience and the experience of others, and also take
into account what is good not only for the company but also for society as a whole.

❖Wise leaders model and encourage free thinking and risk-taking because they believe testing theories
and arguing outcomes help cultivate wisdom for all involved.
Modern Managers
❖Managers can use the value system for the all-round development of their
employees.

❖Values aid to vision.

❖These help to develop the knowledge and moral growth of employees.

❖Values can act to awake your hidden talents in you.


Conclusion of the values followed by
Indian Managers
In conclusion, Indian managers follow a set of core values that are deeply ingrained in

Indian culture. These values reflect the importance of hierarchy, collectivism, long-term

orientation, patience, face-saving, duty and responsibility, and loyalty. These values have

helped Indian managers to build successful organizations and contribute to the growth of

the Indian economy.
