INTRODUCTION
1. Extremely High Throughput (EHT).
2. 2.4 GHz,5 GHz, and 6 GHz.
3. Maximum Throughput is 46 Gbps.
4. Used as part of potential IEEE 802.11be low latency operation
mode.

CURRENT GENERATIONS OF
WIFI
PROJECT GOALS
1. Amendment to 802.11 building on 11ax.
2. Maximum throughput at least 30Gbps.
3. The frequency range :- 2.4 GHz,5 GHz,6 GHz.
4. Improvements to worst – Case Latency and jitter.
IMPROVEMENTS
1. MIMO Enhancements
2. Multi-Link Operation
3. AP Coordination
4. 320 MHz Transmissions
5. Higher Modulations
6. Enhanced OFDMA
7. Low Latency
8. Open Roaming
MIMO Enhancements
1. MIMO means Multiple Input Multiple Output.
2. WIFI 7 intense to introduce the coordinated
multiuser MMIO(CMU-MIMO) which will support up to 16 data
streams on all three frequencies (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz) at the
same time.
Multi-Link Operation(MLO)
MLO enables link aggregation at the MAC layer
1. A link is mapped to a channel and band.

MLO brings benefits in multiple dimensions

2. Active throughput for data flows split over links.
3. Lower latency due to access to multiple links in parallel.
4. High reliable by packet duplication over multiple link.
5. Assign data flow to specific links based on app needs.
TYPES OF MLO
AP COORDINATION
AP Feature
It is a collection of features that rely on direct AP Coordination to
achieve desired network performance goals.
AP Coordination – MAC Driven
AP Coordination – PHY Driven
320 MHz TRANSMISSIONS
HIGHER MODULATION
Enhanced OFDMA
1. OFDMA means Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access
2. OFDMA is multi-user version of OFDM.
3. It allows multiple users to share the available bandwidth and
transit simultaneously.
LOW LATENCY
1. QoS provisioning model with dedicated, deterministic , low-
latency and reliable access category.
2. Scheduled channel access with 80211 TSN functionality.
3. Packet preemption for predictable channel access.
4. Limit TXOP duration across networks.
OPEN ROAMING
MEGATRENDS IMPACTING
WIRELESS IN 2030
CONCLUSION
1. The most solid and promising exponent of this trend is
IEEE 802.11.be, actual precursor of future WIFI 7.
2. It should be accompanied with a well – defined and backward
compatible time sensitive operation made to support low-latency
communications.
3. It reduce the impact of all manageable causes, both internal and
external that may increase latency.
4. On the one hand, contention with external networks may be
minimized by considering dynamic spectrum access such as non-
contiguous channel bonding & multi-link operation , well as
cooperative AP strategies.
5. On the other hand, prioritization & schedule mechanisms inside
the WLAN may provide an effective solution to reduce the latency
of time sensitive traffic in the presence of large pakets from best-
effort flows.
