•“REALIZE THAT
ACTION HAS
ALWAYS A
CONSEQUENCE
“
The will of humanity is an instrument of
free choice. It is within the power of
everyone to be good or bad, worthy or
worthless. This is Bourne out by;
• Our inner awareness Of an
aptitude To do right it wrong.
• The common testimony Of all
human beings.
• The reward And punishment of
Rulers.
• The general employment of Praise
and blame.
Moral acts, which are always particular
acts, are in our power and we are
responsible for them. Character or
habit Is no excuse For immoral
conduct. (E.g. cutting classes).
Our will is an instrument of
free choice. Reason, will and
action drives each other.
Love is
freedom
Of all creatures of God,
human being have the
unique power to change
themselves and the things
around them for the better.
There are 3 kinds of
freedom:
•PHYSICAL FREEDOM
•PSYCHOLOGICAL
FREEDOM
•MORAL FREEDOM
PHYSICAL FREEDOM- this is the
first type of freedom that comes into
mind when talking about freedom. It
refers to the absence of any physical
restraint of the freedom of mobility to
act and go whatever, whenever and
wherever he or she pleases.
Psychological freedom- it is also called
the freedom of choice. The person is free to perform
actions that he or she considers right and wise. A
person is also free to act or not to act. Psychological
freedom is innate and cannot be denied a person. No
outside force or influence can compel a person to
.take action against his or her will
Moral freedom- is not the right to do what
you want- it is the strength to do what is
right. Moral freedom is not the absence of
restraint, but rather it is a resolve to honor
God’s design of purity and holiness. Moral
freedom is liberty that comes from knowing
the truth of God’s word and living in
harmony with the truth by the power of
God’s holy spirit.
There are 2 elements of
freedom.
There are 2 elements that define freedom.
Voluntariness refers to the ability of a
person to act out of his or her own free will
and self-determination. This means that a
person may act or not to act, and these
decisions are made of his or her own free
will.
Voluntariness also means
that a person may act even if he
or she is not required or called to
act. Voluntary acts are free acts
which can be assigned a
corresponding moral value.
Whenever we decide to acts, this
results in a certain consequences. All
human actions has consequences, and
this effect not only the person who
commits the action, but also the
people in our surroundings. As a free
being, the person must accept the
consequences of his or her actions to
take responsibility for them.
The second element of
freedom, RESPONSIBILITY,
refers to the person being
accountable for his or her
actions and their
consequences.
