Objective

To investigate the impact of Sodium

vanadium fluorophosphate as cathode
material for sodium-ion batteries and
techniques to enhance its performance
and durability.

4
Introduction
Battery

Electrochemical devices that convert chemical
energy into electrical energy.

Consists of two electrodes (cathode and anode)
and an electrolyte.

Chemical reaction in a battery involves the
flow of electrons from one electrode to
another. in a battery involve the flow of
electrons from one electrode to another Fig1: Electrochemical cell

Components[2] 6
Sodium Vanadium Fluorophosphates

 Class of cathode materials known as sodium

vanadium fluorophosphate (NVPF)
 Three-dimensional vanadium-oxygen
polyhedral linked by phosphate and fluoride
groups
 Result in a higher energy density
 Abundance of the elements in NVPF
materials

Why NVPF.?

MERITS DRAWBACKS

High thermal stability Limited research

Low cost Low conductivity

High operating voltage Safety concerns

Environmentally friendly Limited temperature range

Good electrochemical
performance

14
Conclusion
 We successfully synthesized NVPF and Ti-doped NVPF by the
cost-effective Sol-gel method.
 The structural and morphological analysis done by XRD and
FESEM of the prepared materials respectively.
 The NVPF-Ti-0.02 doped sample has the best performance of all
the samples tested in electrochemical tests, with a specific capacity
of 130 mAh/g after 60 cycles of charging and discharging. This
means that it has a lot of potential as a cathode material for SIBs.
