However, Facebook knows you.
It’s a huge network that connects people,
and also makes money.
Statistical analysis is useful for analyzing
how a individual people can be grouped
together.
But to find out the patterns that forces
people to connect together, we need to
understand Social network analysis (SNA).
SNA can generate graphical
representations among the individuals. It
helps us to understand how power or
disease flow through the society.
Social Network Analysis (SNA) is a tool for
mapping networks and identifying the
pattern of a group or organisation’s
knowledge flow. SNA’s defining point is
therefore based on the formation of
relationships.
Social network can help us with finding
jobs, meeting new friends, and finding
partners.
A knows B, B knows C, C does recruitment.
Problem
In real world these connections are hidden.
Use of SNA
Social networking sites make these
connections between people visible.
