Swarm robotics is an advanced field that focuses on the collective behavior of multiple
robots working together to navigate complex environments. In such settings, individual
robots share their maps and local environmental information with each other,
enhancing the swarm's overall understanding and enabling more effective
coordination.
This collaborative mapping allows robots to create a comprehensive view of their
surroundings, helping them to avoid obstacles, identify optimal paths, and explore new
areas efficiently. By leveraging real-time data sharing, the swarm becomes more robust
and resilient, capable of adapting to dynamic and unpredictable conditions.
• Develop and manage simulation environments to test the swarm robotics algorithms under various
scenarios.
• Simulate complex environments and dynamic obstacles to evaluate the swarm's navigation and
collaboration capabilities.
• Analyze simulation results and identify areas for improvement in the algorithms and communication
protocols.
• Collaborate with the hardware team to ensure that the simulations accurately reflect the physical robots'
capabilities.
• Design the CAD models of the robots, ensuring that the mechanical structure supports the required
sensors, actuators, and communication devices.
• Integrate electronic components into the robot design, optimizing for space, weight, and power
efficiency.
• Work closely with the hardware team to assemble the robots and ensure that the CAD designs translate
effectively into functional prototypes.
• Maintain and update the CAD models as the project progresses, incorporating feedback from testing and
simulations.
