Skybus technology refers to a proposed form of urban transportation that
combines elements of elevated rail systems and monorails with buses. The
idea is to create a transport network where buses travel on elevated tracks or
"skyways," which helps to avoid congestion at ground level and allows for
faster and more efficient transportation in crowded urban areas.

PAPER 1:- Sky Bus Metro Rail Linking Cities in Himalaya Region
Balamurali Arumugam Department of Civil Engineering, Latha Mathavan Polytechnic
College, India. SSRG International Journal of Civil Engineering (SSRG-IJCE) – volume 1 Issue5
October 2014
Skybus is the latest technology, economical, eco-friendly, reliable and most innovative but simple mode
of transportation developed by Konkan Railway as a rail based futuristic urban mass transit system.
Principle of sky bus metro rail tracks over-head carry wheels and driving boogie, with coach below. Sky
bus failed in metro city but it will be a great success in Mountainous Region in lifting passenger and
cargo to remote regions of Himalaya and improving economic and bring transportation cost down. Sky
bus can fly over long clear span covering buildings, mountain even water bodies. Also can be used during
disaster in evacuating people. Better performance than underground metro at one-fourth cost and ready in
two years. Sky bus is the only metro system which carries cargo too
PAPER 2:- Health Checks through Landmark Bridges to Sky-high Structures,

Massive infrastructure projects developed in Hong Kong make for big challenges and unique opportunities for
engineers and researchers. The construction of the cables-stayed Stonecutters Bridge sets up a new landmark in the
bridge engineering community, with its main span exceeding 1,000 m as well as its sophisticated instrumentation
system comprising more than 1,500 sensors. The development of structural health monitoring (SHM) technology has
evolved for over 10 years in Hong Kong since the implementation of the so-called “Wind And Structural Health
Monitoring System (WASHMS)” on the suspension Tsing Ma Bridge in 1997. The successful engineering paradigms
of implementing and operating SHM systems for five cable-supported bridges and experiences gained by practice and
research in the past decade have promoted the applications of this technology beyond Hong Kong and extending from
long-span bridges to high-rise structures. In this paper, the evolution in the design methodology for SHM systems, the
advancement in several aspects of SHM technology, and a performance comparison between the early implemented
and lately developed SHM systems for large-scale bridges are first outlined. Subsequently, the concept of the so-
called “life-cycle structural health monitoring (LSHM)” is addressed by exploring the integration of in-construction
monitoring and in-service monitoring and by realizing such an integrated system to a super-tall tower structure. The
issue on how an SHM system benefits structural vibration control is also discussed.
PAPER 3:- Sky Bus a New Mode of Travel for Increasing the Level of Service of
Existing Route, Manupriya Sing PG Student Department of Civil Engineering , Prof.
Kaval Patel Assistant Professor Department of Civil Engineering , IJSTE - International
Journal of Science Technology & Engineering | Volume 3 | Issue 03 | September 2016
Sky bus is the new mode of travel that India need today for reducing its transportation
problem. Its construction will not take separate space in existing route like BRTS, METRO
etc., but it require very little space and is very helpful also for increasing the level of service
of any existing road network by taking almost 600 passengers at a time, which will ultimately
reduce the traffic on road. Sky bus can fly over long clear span covering building, mountain
and even water bodies. Sky bus has better performance than underground metro at 1/4th cost.
It is the cheapest and the most efficient mode of public transport.
SKY BUS:-
Sky bus is a prototype suspended railway system invented
by Indian technologist Rajaram with the Konkan Railway. Moves
people and cargo too..!
At 100 kmph along existing roads & aesthetically, without demanding road
space! Better performance than underground metro at one-fourth cost & up and
ready in two years Futuristic automated driver - less Operations!
Rout capacity
Easy access
Power Requirements
SKYBUS FRAMEWORK
COMPONENTS OF
SKYBUS
sky ways (elevated tracks)
Fast transportation
Minimum land acquisition problem
No vandalism No capsizing Construction is fast
compared to other railway
Affordable charges
Skybus has no such problems; no derailment nor capsizing; hence uses very
light weight coaches and carries more people using much less dead weight
sky bus with the same length carries 300 persons comfortably
Conclusion
ultimately life is more precious than anyother aspects
hence we need to give safer transportation facility along
with it economy also play important role
