CHAPTER ONE : INTRODUCTION
Background of the Organization
CBE was established in 1942 and it was legally established as a
share company in 1963. With its headquarters in Addis Ababa, the
bank has grown significantly over the years, expanding its branch
network to over 1,700 branches across the country. As a state-
owned bank, CBE has a strategic focus on supporting national
economic policies and development projects contributing to
Ethiopia’s growth in key sectors such as infrastructure,agriculture,
and industry. CBE offers a wide range of services including savings
and checking accounts, loans, foreign exchange, electronic banking,

CHAPTER TWO
Attachment Evaluation
• Practical attachment is an essential for the development of the
practical and professional skills required for a real work and an aid to
prospective employment.
• It helps students the opportunity to apply knowledge in real work,
exposing students to work methods not taught in the university and
as well as assessing students interest i the occupation he/she plans to
undertake.
• In addition to that, it enables to know theories and principles I have
learned in a class practically. Therefore, practical attachment has
paramount benefits to my study and to my future career in the field.
Significance of My Practical
Attachment ; What skills have
developed and what I am learned
• There are a lot of significant of practical attachments for
the students. Some of the significances are listed here :-
* Practical attachment gives the opportunity to apply the
knowledge and skill they have acquired on campus in a real-life work
situation.
* It enables to be familiar with practical work when they complete
their academic year;
* It develops student’s research making skill.
* It enhances employability skills of the
students.
* It help me to develop decision making
skills, critical thinking skills, enhance
confidence.
The responsibilities and major activities
of my practical internship
As a department member, I have also the
responsibilities of performing the activities of the
department. Based on those general activities, we
performed the following specific activities as an
apparentice when we have participating at
* I opened Book account for more than 10 customers by
supporting employees.
* I check the name, date and signature of the customer to
be filled properly.
* I participated in different writing form and typing
activities that help for customer Service.
*I accomplish a given work punctual and honestly by
obeying the rules and regulation of the organization.
* I opned CBE birr for more than 10 customers.
* I opend mobile banking and ATM card for more than 10
customers.
Challenges and Problems that I
have faced during Practical
ThereAttachment
are problems that I was faced during my practical
attachment. Are:-
*The problem I found, society have low information about banking
system, negative attitude of society toward the term bank and
department
*Budget limitation - there is no budget provided by university
sufficient to cover attachment cost.
*The major problem was matter of peace and security - I couldn't
have been to do my practical work properly because I was
displaced from my practical work area due to political anarchy.
CHAPTER 3:Conclusion and
ecommendation
Conclusion
This practical attachment contains information, include
introduction, background of the organization, goals of the
organization, organization’s structure, etc.
Infact, the report provides a comprehensive overview of the
intern's exposure to the bank’s operations, culture, and overall
contributions to its functions.
Generally, I gained some experience due to this practical
attachment such as how to work in cooperation with other.
Recommendation
Based on the findings of the practical
attachment, the following are recommended
for the concerned organizations:-
* I would like suggest to CBE have to work properly
to achieve their goals and also to address other
problems by working in cooperation with other
organization, like non-governmental organization.
* To solve the problems of inefficiency of materials
by asking additional budget for the department
and purchasing this materials and make available
for the department.
* Some misbehavior that disturb working condition
improperly must be punished according to rules and
regulation of the organization.
* It enables students to become pre-oriented about
practical work environment.
* Like other commercial banks,CBE should pay better
salary to its employees, because have no better salary may
reduce skilled and experienced employees.
