1. AIM N OBJECTIVE OF FINGER PRINT BASED ATM SYSTEM

• To design and develop a secure and user-friendly Automated Teller Machine

(ATM) system that utilizes fingerprint recognition technology for user
authentication, eliminating the need for traditional PINs and cards.
• The main objective of this system is to develop an system which is used for ATM
security applications. In these systems, Bankers will collect the customer
fingerprints and mobile number while opening the accounts then the customer
only accesses the ATM machine
3. ABSTRACT Of FINGER PRINT BASE3D ATM SYSTEM

• The fingerprint-based ATM machine introduces a secure and convenient

authentication method, replacing traditional PINs and cards. Utilizing
advanced fingerprint recognition technology, this system provides
enhanced security against identity theft and fraud. Users simply register
their fingerprints during initial enrollment, which are then securely
stored on the ATM's database.
4. INTRODUCTION OF FINGER PRINT BASED ATM SYSTEM

• A fingerprint-based ATM machine is a new type of ATM that

lets you access your bank account using your fingerprint instead
of a card or PIN. This makes it safer because you can't lose your
fingerprint, and it helps prevent fraud. To use it, you first
register your fingerprint at the bank. When you go to the ATM,
you simply place your finger on the scanner, and it quickly
checks if it's you. This makes banking easier and more secure,
paving the way for safer financial transactions.

7. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT
1. Fingerprint Recognition Algorithm: Extracts and matches fingerprint
features. - Ensures accurate user identification.
2. User Interface (UI): Intuitive design for easy navigation. - Provides
prompts for fingerprint scanning and transaction choices.
3. Transaction Processing System: Manages account queries, fund transfers,
and withdrawals. - Communicates with banking networks.
4. Database Management System: Stores user data, including fingerprints and
transaction history securely. - Supports encryption and access control.
5. Security Protocols:Implementations for data encryption, secure
communication, and user authentication
6. Monitoring and Reporting Tools:Tracks ATM performance and security
incidents. - Generates reports for maintenance and fraud detection
8. Hardware Requirement
1. Fingerprint Scanner: Optical or capacitive sensors to capture fingerprint
images. - High-resolution sensors for accuracy.
2. Microcontroller/Processor: Manages the fingerprint scanning and
processing. - Controls the ATM's overall operations.
3. Display Screen:Touchscreen or LCD for user interaction. - Shows
instructions and transaction details.
4. Keypad:For PIN entry and navigation.
5. Card Reader: Optional, for traditional card-based transactions.
6. Cash Dispenser: Mechanism to dispense cash securely.
7. Secure Storage:Encrypted memory for storing user fingerprints and
transaction data.
8. Power Supply:Ensures the ATM operates reliably, including backup power
systems.
9. ADVANTAGES OF FINGER PRINT BASED ATM SYSTEM

• No Card Or Pin Required

• Fast And Efficient Transaction
• Real-time Monitoring
• Easy Account Management
• Energy Effciency
10. CONCLUSION

In conclusion, a fingerprint-based ATM system provides a

secure, efficient, and user-friendly solution for banking
transactions. There is no worry of losing ATM card and no
need to carry ATM card in your wallet. You just have to
use your fingerprint.
