INTRODUCTION

• Student attendance management system is software developed for

daily student attendance in schools and Institution. The system deals

with maintenance of the student's attendance detail, it generates the

attendance of the student on the basis of presence in class (Bhattarai,

2017).
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

• This project will help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of student. By


just clicking on the mouse, the system sable to produce the student's attendance
report.

• To reduce work, become a better student attendance system and less


administrative work.

• To enable the lecturer to grade student attendance score in a particular course


based on some specific metrics provided in the application.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
Aim
The aim of the study is to develop a student attendance management
system
Objective of the Study
The objectives are:
i. To design students attendances system
ii. To implement (i) above using Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft
Access
LITERATURE REVIEW
• (Bradley, 2015) proposed that school budgets, may suffer when
students refuse to attend classes. In many states, school budgets are
based on the average daily attendance of students. When many
students that are enrolled at a school fail to attend regularly, the school
has less Money to pay for essential consumables.
• (Sekiwu et al., 2013) postulate that successful schools activities
usually begin by engaging students and making sure they come to
school on a regular basis. That may seem obvious. What is less
obvious is that the consequences of not attending classes are more
serious.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
• The Attendance Management System is developed using Visual Basic and fully meets the
objectives of the system which has been developed. The system has reached a steady state
where all bugs have been eliminated. The system is operated at a high level of efficiency
and all the teachers and user associated with the system understands its advantage.

• To conclude, Project Attendance Management System works like a component which can
access all the databases and picks up different functions. it takes attendance with little
limitations incorporated in the Easy implementation Environment and Generate report
flexibly.

• The project has a very vast scope in future. The project can be implemented on the Internet
in future and also project can be updated in near future when requirement for the same
arises, as it is very flexible in terms of expansion.
