the betterment of Education and Inclusion Presenter : Matthew Francis Ponce National Policy on Education (1986) The NPE 1986 had a major infl uence on India's educational system and acted as a roadmap for changes and advancements in the fi eld over time. In 1992, it was updated to take into account the evolving demands and diffi culties of schooling. Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full “The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Participation Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995” has been in eff ect since February 7. 1996. This bill represents a major turning point and a big step in the right path. To guarantee individuals with impairments equal chances and their complete involvement in the development of the country. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of India published the Action Plan for Inclusive Education of Children and young with Disabilities (IECYD) in August 2005. It provided a thorough plan for integrating children and young with disabilities into regular classroom instruction. National Policy for Persons with Disabilities (2006). In February 2006, the Indian government created the National Policy for Persons with Disabilities, which addresses the economic, educational, and physical rehabilitation of people with disabilities. The strategy also prioritizes social security, research, barrier-free environments, and the rehabilitation of women and children with impairments.

(1987) Launched in 1987, Project Integrated Education for the Disabled (PIED) was a major project in India that sought to improve the Integrated Education for Disabled Children (IEDC) program.
