NEHRU REPORT & DEHLI PROPOSALS
THE OBJECTIVES OF NEHRU REPORT:
>The Nehru Report was actually published in 1928, its aim was to
outline the demands of the Indian National Congress for
constitutional reforms in British India. Its main objectives included
pushing for self-governing status for India within the British Empire,
granting independence to provinces, protecting the rights of
minorities, and establishing a united structure for India.
THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF DEHLI PROPOSALS:
>On the other hand, the Delhi Proposals were presented in 1927 by
the Simon Commission, It suggested limited reforms such as
increasing Indian representation in the government but fell short of
meeting the demands of the Indian National Congress. The main
