• PE are often established by the professional organization
to help guide members in performing their job functions according to sound and consistent principles.
• They are codified and varies across different cultures.
• It describes the relationship between professionals and
their clients.
• Code of ethics guides your professionals in their
interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. Components of Professional ethics • Professional ethics are defined in terms of the following components
1. Honesty – the facet of moral character and denotes
straightforwardness along the absence of lying, cheating or theft
2. Integrity – a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods,
measures, principles , expectations and outcomes. It can be regarded as the opposite of hypocrisy. Components of Professional ethics
