• Abstract :-

The paper represents the website to reduce the food wastage by providing that too those
who are in need. In todays world people are wasting more food than consuming, which is a
huge problem. India ranks 2nd in food wasting, about 68.8 million tons of food is wasted
per year. This proposal is to overcome the food wastage problem. It will works as request
and response from Restaurants and NGOs. The quantity and lifetime of the food should be
mentioned by the restaurants. NGOs should collect the leftovers from Restaurants before
the lifetime of food and distribute among those in need. And the restaurants can post the
food donated details.
• Introduction

while many people struggle with hunger. The Focus Rescue Project is an initiative
aimediat reducing food waste by redistributing surplus food to those in need. This
project collaborates with restaurants, supermarkets, and food producers to collect
excess food that is still safe for consumption and deliver it to food banks, shelters,
and community organizations.
Problem Definition: Large amounts of edible food are
wasted while many people face hunger.

Solution: A food rescue system that collects surplus food

from businesses and redistributes it to those in need.
• Objectives

--Reducing Food Waste

--Fighting Hunger

--Raising awareness

-- Social work
• Literature Survey

In almost the last decade, food waste and food losses have become
interesting topics among researchers. This review of literacy is carried out
in order to determine the extent to which research on food loss and food
waste is carried out and the use of what methods are most often used. In
this study the main sources of research data are sixty scientific articles over
the last few years starting from 2009 to 2018 relating to food waste and
waste.

Search for scientific articles is done by using online search via (via
ProQuest, Elsevier and Google Scholar) and using the keywords ‘Food loss
and food waste’. The results of the review found that research on food loss
and food waste experienced an upward trend from 2011 to 2014. The
comparison of the highest number of articles discussing food loss and food
waste was in 2014 with seventeen scientific articles and in 2011 was the
year which had the fewest articles, namely only one article.
• Problem statement

A problem statement for a food waste management hunger strike

would focus on the disparity between the abundance of food and
the prevalence of hunger, emphasizinghlight how food wasted
could feed the hungry, while also addressing the environmental
impact and economic costs of waste
• Existing system

1. Manual Process : Food donations are managed manually via

calls, texts, or in-person visits. Lack of proper scheduling leads
to food spoilage or delays.

2. Limited Reach : Donors and NGOs operate in isolated silos,

without a centralized platform It’s difficult to match surplus
food availability with demand in real time.

3. No Real-Time Tracking : Donors and recipients have no visibility

into the status of food pickups. NGOs often struggle with
logistics planning.

4. Lack of Data Management : No records of donations, pickups, or

beneficiaries for accountability or reporting
• System Architecture
• Methodology

In this system, we have tried to reduce restaurant food

wastage by giving waste food to NGOs. NGOs will raise a
request, in case of any leftover food restaurants have. This
request is sent to the restaurant manager of that particular
restaurant. The NGO Manager then approves the request
and assigns it to one of the NGO employees for takeaway
and forwards the request to the restaurant. The leftover food
at the restaurant can be given to NGOs at the end of the
day. The admin can track the history of restaurants and
NGOs for the leftover foods.
• UML Diagrams
• Advantages

1. reduced environmental impact

2. economic benefits
3. improved operational efficiency
• Real Time Application

a) Redistribution of Surplus Food

b) Support for Vulnerable Communities.

c) Awareness & Education

d) Community Engagement
• Result
• Conclusion

Food rescue projects often incorporate logistics such

as transportation, storage, and safety measures to
ensure that food remains fresh and safe for
consumption. Some initiatives may also include
public awareness campaigns, volunteer engagement,
and technological solutions likemobile apps to
streamline the process. By bridging the gap between
food surplus and hunger, these projects contribute to
environmental sustainability, social welfare, and
economic efficiency
• Future Scope

The future scope of the Food Rescue project is vast and

impactful, as it addresses critical issues like food waste, hunger,
and environmental sustainability. With advancements in
technology, the project can evolve into a scalable digital
platform that connects surplus food sources such as restaurants,
grocery stores, and events with NGOs and individuals in need.
