• Outsourcing is an agreement in which one company
hires another company to be responsible for a planned or existing activity that is or could be done internally. It involves transferring of employees and assets from one firm to another. POACHING/RAIDING
A company can attract talent from another firm by
offering attractive pay packages and other terms and conditions, better than the current employer of the candidate. THE KNOWLEDGE BASED RECRUITMENT METHOD • Based on mutual agreement between client and recruiting firm to invest in a long-term strategic relationship. • In this method the client and the recruiting company together define the anticipated skill-set requirement over a period of time(ex. 12 months) • Once this is established a minimum rate of ongoing recruiting activity can be agreed upon. OTHER RECRUITMENT METHODS • Walk In: The potential candidates attend an interview directly and without prior application on a specified date, time and specified place. • Consult In: the potential job seekers are encouraged to approach the company personally and consult them regarding the jobs. The companies select the suitable candidates and advise the company regarding the filling up of positions. • Body shopping: Professional organization and hi-tech training develop the pool of human resource for the possible employment. The prospective employers contact these organizations to recruit the candidates. Otherwise the organizations themselves approach the prospective employers to place their human resource. These professionals and training institutions are called body shoppers and these activities are known as body shopping MODERN RECRUITMENT METHODS • SCOUTING: Sending the representation of the organization to various sources of recruitment with a view to persuading or stimulating the candidates to apply for job. • Networking: • ESOP: Employee Stock Ownership. • Re- recruiting • Make every employee a recruiter.
