MODERN TRENDS
IN RECRUITMENT
E-Recruitment/Online
Recruitment

• It involves sourcing candidates on the internet.

• Advertise job vacancies through world wide web.
• Companies advertise the job vacancies on company
websites, job sites or on social networks.
• Helps to reach large number of potential employees.
OUTSOURCING

• Outsourcing is an agreement in which one company

hires another company to be responsible for a planned
or existing activity that is or could be done internally.
It involves transferring of employees and assets from
one firm to another.
POACHING/RAIDING

A company can attract talent from another firm by

offering attractive pay packages and other terms and
conditions, better than the current employer of the
candidate.
THE KNOWLEDGE BASED
RECRUITMENT METHOD
• Based on mutual agreement between client and
recruiting firm to invest in a long-term strategic
relationship.
• In this method the client and the recruiting company
together define the anticipated skill-set requirement
over a period of time(ex. 12 months)
• Once this is established a minimum rate of ongoing
recruiting activity can be agreed upon.
OTHER RECRUITMENT METHODS
• Walk In: The potential candidates attend an interview directly and
without prior application on a specified date, time and specified
place.
• Consult In: the potential job seekers are encouraged to approach
the company personally and consult them regarding the jobs. The
companies select the suitable candidates and advise the company
regarding the filling up of positions.
• Body shopping: Professional organization and hi-tech training
develop the pool of human resource for the possible employment.
The prospective employers contact these organizations to recruit
the candidates. Otherwise the organizations themselves approach
the prospective employers to place their human resource. These
professionals and training institutions are called body shoppers and
these activities are known as body shopping
MODERN RECRUITMENT METHODS
• SCOUTING: Sending the representation of the organization to
various sources of recruitment with a view to persuading or
stimulating the candidates to apply for job.
• Networking:
• ESOP: Employee Stock Ownership.
• Re- recruiting
• Make every employee a recruiter.
