and their habitats 1. What Are Animals? • Animals are multicellular organisms that live in different habitats on Earth. They breathe, grow, and reproduce. 2. Classification of Animals • Animals are classified into groups like mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and insects. 3. Mammals • Mammals are warm-blooded, have hair or fur, and feed their young with milk. Examples: lions, humans, dolphins. 4. Birds • Birds have feathers, beaks, and most can fly. They lay eggs. Examples: eagles, penguins, parrots. 5. Reptiles • Reptiles are cold-blooded and have scaly skin. Examples: snakes, crocodiles, lizards. 6. Amphibians • Amphibians live in water and on land.
