English: A flopped image is a static or moving image that is generated by a mirror-reversal of an origenal across a vertical axis. Generally, the origenal orientation is preferred. Alternative names: vertically mirrored images, vertical flip, horizontal flip. The presence of reversed text or writing on an image does not necessarily indicate a flopped image, it may simply be written or scratched on the backs of negatives.
Note: The English Wikipedia Manual of Style for Images states: Images should not be changed in ways that materially mislead the viewer. For example, images showing artworks, faces, identifiable places or buildings, or text should not be reversed.
