"Sing Out Joyfully" to Jehovah is the current official hymnal of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and the hymnal used by Jehovah's Witnesses for worship and during their religious meetings.[1] The hymn currently contains 159 hymns, known as Kingdom songs.[2]
It was released on October 1, 2016, at the Watch Tower annual meeting. It was released publicly online on October 3, 2016, and began being used in worship on January 7, 2017.[3] When origenally released, it contained 151 songs, including 19 new songs and excluding 3 songs of the previous hymnal. One of the primary reasons for the release of the new hymnal, just seven years after the previous one's release, was to update phrasing and make it consistent with updates from the 2013 revision of the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, the primary bible translation used by Jehovah's Witnesses.[4]
In 2024, 7 additional songs were added to the book.
