Brigitte Haas (born 1964) is a Liechtensteiner lawyer and politician who is the managing director of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is the prime minister-elect of Liechtenstein and is due to take the office on 20 March 2025.
Early life
[edit]Haas grew up in Schaan. She completed an apprenticeship in the Liechtenstein state administration before studying law at the University of Zurich.[1]
She was the deputy managing director of Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2004 to 2019, and its managing director since August 2019.[2][3]
Prime Minister of Liechtenstein
[edit]Haas is the Patriotic Union's candidate for Prime Minister of Liechtenstein in the 2025 Liechtenstein general election.[3][4] The election resulted in a win for the party. As such, Haas is the presumptive prime minister, and would be the first female head of government of Liechtenstein.[5] She is expected to be sworn into office on 20 March 2025.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Haas lives in Vaduz and is married to Hubert Ospelt.[3]
