Emmanuel Adegboyega (born 16 September 2003) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for Scottish Premiership club Dundee United on loan from EFL Championship club Norwich City, as a defender.[2]
Club career
[edit]Born in Dundalk,[1] Adegboyega spent his early career with Drogheda United and Dundalk, returning to Drogheda United in January 2023.[3] He scored his first senior goal in March 2023,[4][5] and earned a Man of the Match award in a derby game against former club Dundalk in June 2023.[6]
Adegboyega signed for English club Norwich City in August 2023,[7][8][9] initially playing for the under-21 team,[10] and he moved on loan to Walsall in January 2024.[11][12] Having scored three goals in four appearances to help his side into play-off contention, he was named EFL Young Player of the Month for February 2024.[13]
In August 2024, he moved on loan to Scottish Premiership club Dundee United.[14][15]
International career
[edit]Adegboyega made his debut for the Republic of Ireland U21 team in a 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification Group A fixture as they drew 1–1 with Norway on 11 October 2024.[16]
