Simple English Wiktionary is the Simple English language version of Wiktionary. It is one of many language versions of Wiktionary. It is made to help people who do not know English well, or need a clearer explanation of the meaning of a word. This dictionary will have all English words, but uses a small group of words to define them. Simple English Wiktionary is made to work with Simple English Wikipedia.
The site is a wiki; anybody can change its pages. Like other wikis run by the Wikimedia Foundation, the content on Simple English Wiktionary is free to use and share.
As of January 2025, it has 50,383 definitions (or entries), 50,078 users and 3 administrators.
