Provision of magazine media
All media stored in our stacks can be ordered with some advance notice and then picked up in the self-collection areas and at the service counters of our libraries.
Deployment times
Central Library
- Orders received before 1 p.m. from Monday to Friday can be collected on the same day in the self-collection area or at the service desk. Later orders will be made available for you on the next opening day (except Saturday and Sunday).
- The media are available for you to pick up for five opening days.

Library DrePunct/Makerspace
- Orders received by 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday will be available in the pick-up areas on the same day. Later orders are available for you on the next opening day (except Saturday and Sunday).
- The media are available for collection for five opening days.

External stacks
- Media from the respective external stacks of the Central Library, the DrePunct/Makerspace Library and the Interim Bergstrasse/Open Science Lab Library will be ready for you between four and seven days after your order.
Special cases
- Some media must first be processed for electronic loan booking. These are usually available two days after you place your order.
- Works published before 1850 can only be found in the Collections Reading Room.
- Large-format newspaper volumes are available in the self-service shelf (pick-up shelf newspapers) on level -1, all other volumes are available for pick-up in the circulation desk.
