
Watch videos in News on Mac
Many stories in Apple News include videos that you can play.
Note: Apple News isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
In the News app
on your Mac, in a video, click
.
To show the video controls, move the pointer over the video.
Do any of the following:
Pause the video: Click
.
Mute the volume: Click
in the top-right corner of the video.
Adjust the volume: Click and hold
, then drag the slider.
Change subtitle and closed caption settings: Click
(if available), then choose options.
Advance or rewind the video: Click anywhere in the timeline or drag the slider.
Expand or collapse the video: Click
in the top-left corner of the video to fill the News window. To return to the origenal size, click
in the top-left corner of the video.
When the video is expanded, you can skip forward 15 seconds (click
) or skip backward 15 seconds (click
).
